A Way To See All We Do

Every home that we enter has been appointed for us by our Lord

Revealing His nature through us by work of His Holy Spirit

Live as a sent people:

To live as a sent people, you must know who you have been sent to. Jesus modeled this for us in John 5:1-17 when He came to a multitude in need of healing but went only to the one. We know that all of our work is provided to us by our Lord. For we do not market or advertise our business but instead we pray and ask God to provide the work within each home He has appointed for us. Therefore, we are sent to the residents of each home that He provides work in.

Led in triumphal procession, spreading the knowledge of Him everywhere:

We walk in the truth of who we are without seeking to hide ourselves. On the job or off the job we strive to be constant in character.

We have confidence in our walk as we trust the work of our Lord within us. We set aside our own desires in place of His and ask Him for wisdom in understanding our purpose within each home.

We rely on the Holy Spirit to teach us how to speak with those who believe and those who do not. The testimony we share begins with the insight we receive. We check this insight against what we know in scripture and do our best to follow the example found in Jesus.

To those who did not believe Jesus often spoke in parables. A parable in itself does not offer understanding but the opportunity to pursue understanding. As such, we understand the value of storytelling and seek in prayer words that may be sown in to the story of our lives. Whether spoken in tongue or in action, we know that the story of our lives are the opportunity put on display within each home we enter.

God knows the position of every heart, He sees all of time as if it were the present day, He knows what each of us needs to hear and He offers it through us in the power of His Holy Spirit within us. Therefore we rely on the Holy Spirit to open our eyes to opportunity just as He did with Phillip and the Eunuch (Acts 8:26-40).

We understand that seed can be stolen when it is not received and so we seek only to sow in the way we are instructed (Matthew 13:19).

To behave in the world with simplicity and godly sincerity:

We make this our boast; the thing we know to be true about ourselves: Our work is accomplished not by earthly wisdom but by the grace of God.

We understand our singleness of purpose. We keep our focus on the work God has given us so as to not become distracted by opportunities not of God.

We understand that we are image bearers and seek a daily refining in this image. Sin caused the death of Jesus and the death of Jesus caused forgiveness. So to carry in our bodies the death of Jesus is to put on display the forgiveness of sins that frees us from judgement (2nd Cor 4:10). We know that His light shines from within us to all we encounter.

We know that the death of Jesus brought reconciliation between us and God, therefore the life of Jesus within us urges others to be reconciled. This again is accomplished through the power of the Holy Spirit who guides our thoughts; instructing our words and deeds.
